Terms of Service

1. Acceptance & Eligibility

These Terms govern your use of the real estate, jobs, and community platform (the "Service") provided by HaninCity (the "Company"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. If you sign up on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Nature of the Service

The Service is a platform where users (agents, companies, and general users) can post, search, and interact around real estate listings, job postings, and community content.

The Company is not a real estate broker, employer, or employment agency, and is not a party to any transaction, contract, employment, or gathering between users. You interact with other users at your own risk.

The user who posts a listing, job posting, or other content is responsible for its accuracy, legality, and quality. We do not pre-screen or endorse user content.

3. Accounts & Security

You must provide accurate information when signing up, and phone verification may be required. Your account is for your use only, and you are responsible for all activity under your account.

Keep your password secure and notify us immediately if you become aware of unauthorized use of your account.

4. User Roles & Representations

Agent accounts: to post real estate listings you must hold a valid real estate license, and you represent that the license information you register is accurate.

Company accounts: companies posting jobs represent that each posting is for a genuine opening and that they will not request money from applicants.

The Company may verify and restrict eligibility for role-specific features such as posting listings or jobs.

5. User Content & License

You retain rights to content you post (listings, job postings, resumes, group posts, and similar).

You grant the Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, reproduce, display, translate (including AI translation), and distribute that content for the purposes of operating, displaying, and promoting the Service. This license ends within a reasonable period after you delete the content.

You represent that you have the necessary rights to the content you post.

6. Listing Rules

Listing information must be accurate. Posting nonexistent listings or listings that are no longer available is prohibited.

Listings must comply with applicable law, including the Fair Housing Act. Statements of discrimination or preference based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, or other protected characteristics are prohibited.

7. Job Posting Rules

Job postings must be for genuine openings and comply with equal employment opportunity laws. Discriminatory requirements based on age, sex, race, national origin, or other protected characteristics are prohibited except where permitted by law.

Requesting money or personal financial information from applicants, and postings for pyramid schemes or illegal work, are prohibited.

8. Community Groups

Groups are created and run by users (owners, admins, and moderators). Group moderators are not agents of the Company, and may exercise in-group powers such as approving members, approving events, and managing posts.

Group content is subject to the prohibited-conduct rules in these Terms. The Company may remove content or close groups independently of any action by group moderators.

You can report inappropriate content through the reporting feature. False or repeated abusive reports may result in sanctions.

9. Applications, Resumes & Tour Requests

The Service transmits applications and resumes to the company that posted the job, and tour requests to the listing's agent. We do not review, screen, or follow up on their content.

Whether to submit potentially sensitive information such as a resume is your own decision and responsibility.

10. Credits & Payments

Paid features such as promotions use credits, which can be purchased via Stripe or PayPal. Credits are not money and are non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash.

Refunds follow applicable law and the policies of the payment providers. Used credits are not refundable. Prices and credit policies may change with prior notice.

You are responsible for any taxes arising from your purchases.

11. AI-Generated Content

The Service offers AI features such as description generation and automatic Korean–English translation. AI output may be inaccurate or differ from the original; you are responsible for reviewing and editing it before posting.

Where an automatic translation differs from the original text, the original controls.

12. Notifications & Communications

Based on your activity, the Service may send in-app notifications, emails, and text messages (SMS). You can turn email and text notifications on or off per category in your dashboard's notification settings. Message and data rates may apply to texts.

Essential account and security notices may be sent regardless of notification settings.

13. Prohibited Conduct

The following are prohibited: posting false or fraudulent content; impersonating others; posting discriminatory content; spam and unauthorized advertising; automated scraping or crawling; unauthorized access to systems or circumvention of security; distributing malware; reverse engineering the Service; harassing or threatening other users; collecting personal information without consent; interfering with the operation of the Service; and any violation of applicable law.

14. Intellectual Property

The Service itself (software, design, trademarks, logos) belongs to the Company. These Terms grant you only the limited right to use the Service; you may not copy, modify, or distribute the Service without our prior written consent.

15. Copyright Complaints (DMCA)

If you believe your copyrighted work has been posted without authorization, send a notice to contact@hanincity.com including the location of the infringing content, proof of your rights, and your contact information. We respond to notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and may terminate repeat infringers' accounts.

16. Suspension & Termination

The Company may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts without prior notice where we suspect a violation of these Terms or applicable law, or harm to other users.

You may delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive (disclaimers, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, and similar) survive termination.

17. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for damages arising from transactions, employment, or gatherings between users, from inaccuracies in posted information, or for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

To the extent permitted by law, the Company's total liability in connection with the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose or $100.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify the Company for losses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or from disputes with third parties over content you post.

19. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, and disputes relating to the Service will be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please attempt an amicable resolution by contacting contact@hanincity.com.

20. General

The Company may update these Terms. For material changes we will provide notice in the Service or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a right promptly is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent.
